PDFCarry

Terms of service

The terms on which we supply PDFCarry: the Windows application, its free trial and its annual subscription. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

Last updated 7 September 2026RYOX SALES PTY LTD, ABN 90 618 931 338

PDFCarry is in private preview. Nothing is for sale today and there is no public download. These terms describe the offer as it will apply when sales open; the current state of the preview is on the preview status page.

At a glance

  • One reviewer, one active installation, US$349 per year as the total. GST is included for Australian customers. Renews until you cancel.
  • A 14-day trial with no card. It never turns into a paid subscription by itself.
  • Full refund on request within 30 days of the initial purchase or of any renewal. Cancel renewal at any time and keep access to the end of the paid term.
  • Your PDFs stay on your computer. The application never uploads them; support only ever receives what you deliberately send.
  • PDFCarry records the checks you make. It does not certify accessibility and does not replace your PDF editor.

1. Who we are

PDFCarry is supplied by RYOX SALES PTY LTD, an Australian private company, ABN 90 618 931 338. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company and "you" means the person or organisation that installs the application or buys a subscription. Our only support contact is support@pdfcarry.com.

Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's hosted pages. Stripe is our payment processor, not the seller.

2. What PDFCarry is, and is not

PDFCarry is a Windows application that carries PDF accessibility structure and review evidence forward between revisions of the same document, shows which recorded checks still stand and which need fresh review, and exports the PDF with a manifest of the checks recorded against it. It runs on your computer and processes documents locally.

The supported envelope described on the product page and in the customer guide forms part of the description of what you are buying. Outside that envelope the application refuses rather than guesses. In particular:

3. The trial

The application offers a 14-day trial with full features. It starts when you first open the application, needs no card and no internet connection, and does not convert to a paid subscription. When it ends you can still open, validate and export the projects you created. New work needs a subscription.

The trial is one per computer for reasonable evaluation. Deleting the application's data to restart it is not something we support.

4. Subscription and price

Scope
One reviewer. The subscription may be active on one installation at a time and can be moved between computers as described in section 5.
Price
US$349 for each year. That figure is the total you pay for the year. For customers in Australia it includes 10% GST, which is itemised on the Stripe receipt. No amount is added at checkout on top of it.
Currency
We charge in United States dollars. Your bank or card issuer sets any conversion rate or foreign-transaction fee.
Renewal
The subscription renews automatically every year on the anniversary of the purchase, using the payment method saved with Stripe, until you cancel. Cancellation is available at any time in Manage billing and takes effect at the end of the paid term.
Price changes
We will not change the price of a term you have already paid for. If the renewal price is going to differ from the price you last paid, we will tell you before the renewal date so that you can cancel first. We do not promise that the price will never change.
Failed renewal
If a renewal payment fails, paid access pauses until Stripe confirms payment. Your existing projects stay readable and exportable in the meantime.

5. Your licence and your codes

While the subscription is paid, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use PDFCarry on Windows for your own or your organisation's work, with one installation active at a time. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or share the licence key, and you must not attempt to defeat the licensing checks.

Billing issues two codes with different jobs, and looking after them is your responsibility:

We do not offer email-based recovery. If you lose both your browser's billing session and the recovery code, contact support; we may need to verify the purchase against Stripe's records before we can help.

To move the licence, deactivate it in the old installation and activate it in the new one. If the old computer is gone, billing offers a lost-installation reset once every seven days. An installation keeps any offline access it already verified, for up to seven days.

PDFCarry bundles third-party components, including a Java runtime and a PDF/UA validator, under their own licences. Their notices and, where required, their source archives are shipped with the application. Nothing in these terms limits rights that those licences give you, and any restriction in section 9 applies only to the extent those licences and the law allow.

6. Your documents

The documents you import, the projects you create and the review records you make are yours. PDFCarry processes them on your computer and keeps them in a local data folder. The application never uploads them. The only way any of them reaches us is if you choose to attach them to a support email, and we claim no rights in them either way.

You are responsible for backing up that data folder. The application stores it under the protection your Windows account provides; it does not add its own encryption to project files. Quit the application before copying the folder. Exported evidence packages are deliverables, not a backup of your project history.

7. Cancellation, refunds and what ends

Our refund and cancellation policy is set out in full on the refunds and cancellation page. In short:

When paid access ends for any reason, the application no longer creates projects, imports revisions, records reviews or applies corrections. Opening, validating, downloading and exporting the projects you already have remains available. A full refund or an unresolved payment dispute also blocks fresh activation while it stands.

Nothing here limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded.

8. Support and updates

Support is by email at support@pdfcarry.com. Replies are sent on Australian business days. The application can produce a small technical diagnostics file, described in the privacy notice, that contains no documents and no licence keys; you decide whether to send it. Please do not send confidential customer PDFs or your project database unless we have agreed to receive them.

We release updates as new versioned installers. Installing an update or uninstalling the application preserves your project and licence folders. We do not promise a particular update schedule, that any specific feature will be added, or that we will support the application indefinitely; if we ever withdraw it, your existing projects stay readable and exportable and section 7 continues to apply to paid terms.

9. Acceptable use

Use PDFCarry lawfully and for its purpose. Do not remove or alter licence notices, redistribute the application or its installer, or attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent that the law or the licence of a bundled third-party component expressly allows. Do not use automated means to create trials or subscriptions at scale.

10. Warranties and liability

If you are a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law, our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, and nothing in these terms limits them. The same applies to any right under any other law that cannot be excluded.

Beyond those rights, what we promise is what section 2 and the product page describe. PDFCarry works within a stated envelope and refuses outside it. A machine validation pass means the machine-checkable rules passed, not that a document is accessible or compliant. We do not promise that the application will handle every PDF or be free of errors, and we fix what we can when you tell us.

You remain responsible for the accessibility decisions you record, for the documents you deliver to your own clients, and for keeping a backup of your project data as section 6 describes.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. If a change matters to an existing subscription, we will tell you before your next renewal, so that you can cancel before it renews if you do not accept the change. Continuing to use the application after a renewal means the current terms apply.

12. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without displacing any consumer protection that applies where you live. Questions, complaints and requests go to support@pdfcarry.com. Our privacy notice explains what information we hold and how to ask about it.
